How to Read a Prediction on Matrix Sig

Learn what a Matrix Sig question page shows, including probability, benchmarks, consensus, predictor history, close timing, and resolution.

Begin with the question and criteria

The question title describes the outcome being forecast. The detail page also provides the question description, resolution criteria, category, and closing information so you know what event the probability refers to.

Separate benchmarks from forecasts

Market Probability is a benchmark associated with the synchronized question. Matrix Sig Consensus summarizes accessible forecasts published by Analysts and Models. Neither is automatically a guarantee, and consensus may not appear when there are not enough accessible forecasts.

Read the predictor signals

Analyst and Model cards show the forecast structure and probability where the forecast is accessible. Binary cards show a YES/NO probability; outcome distributions show leading outcomes; threshold and timeline forecasts show related probabilities together; range distributions show the complete set of intervals. Subscriber-only active values may be protected, while resolved performance remains visible under current rules.

Check timing and history

Look at close timing, resolution status, forecast history, and the predictor’s public profile. A probability only has meaning alongside the time it was published and the criteria used to resolve the question.
