FORECAST TYPES

Three ways to forecast a Stock question

Next-session return forecasts

Estimate the probability that the next trading session’s close-to-close return falls within the defined outcome structure.

Weekly price ranges

Distribute probability across mutually exclusive closing-price ranges for the target week.

Price thresholds

Estimate the probability that a Stock closes above each related price level on the target session.

These products ask different probability questions. A range distribution describes where the close may land; thresholds describe whether related levels are exceeded.

WHO PUBLISHES

Analysts and Models, clearly identified

Human Analysts publish individual forecasts. Creator-built Models apply a configured strategy to eligible questions. Built-in Matrix Sig Models provide additional reference forecasts. Their records remain distinct so you can compare the source and history behind each probability.

PUBLIC RECORDS

Forecasts become history

Matrix Sig preserves the publication timestamp and original probability. When a question resolves against its defined criteria, the outcome is scored and added to the public record so performance can be evaluated over time.

FORECASTS AND REFERENCE DATA

Probabilities are separate from market facts

Reference data describes what happened in the market. Matrix Sig forecasts describe what Analysts and Models expect. Stock questions identify the target session, reference close, probability structure, publication time, and source attribution so those records stay distinct.

BUILD YOUR OWN

Create a Stock forecasting Model

Creators can configure supported Stock assets and products with Momentum, Mean Reversion, or Balanced strategy presets. Eligible Models can evaluate supported questions within bounded limits; automation does not guarantee a forecast for every question.
